Discover the “ART OF SUMMER” and join us for a fun-filled week of art-making at Claybird Studio! In today’s technology-driven world, campers will discover the satisfaction of creating with their own hands! Campers will participate in unique arts and crafts all day long with a lunch break at the park. Campers will enjoy creating fiber arts, ceramics (kiln fired & air dry clay), sculpture, painting, drawing and mixed media arts, developing their imaginations and bringing home hand-made creations to treasure for years to come! Campers may be given different project options based on their age/skill level. All materials included. Most projects will go home with your camper each week, and some, like our kiln-fired clay projects, will need to be picked-up at a later date.
Note that all kids work at a different pace, and though we will have a number of projects planned, some campers may go home with a different amount of finished pieces than other campers. Our goal is to allow room for creativity, with a focus on fun and self-expression, not quantity.
Campers must bring their own bagged lunch and refillable water bottle. Water refills are provided throughout the day. A 1-hour lunch break will take place at Montgomery Park (weather permitting) between 12-1 pm and will include playground time inbetween our morning and afternoon sessions. Parents/Guardians must be comfortable with their camper walking approx. 5 minutes with the instructors to and from the park daily. Your child’s safety is our priority! The park is across the street and we will be using the crosswalk, sidewalk and the local walking path to get to and from the park. Campers must dress appropriately and wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get messy, and can bring a smock to be left at the studio for the week if needed. All campers are expected to adhere to our general studio and summer camp policies throughout their time with us.
Parents/Guardians or other authorized drop-off/pickup person(s) must sign campers in and out daily at the front registration table. The indoor studio space is for campers only and parents/guardians are asked to kindly remain outside at drop-off and pickup to allow space for campers to arrive and exit safely. Early drop-off and late pick-up are not available.
We currently can only accommodate campers with special needs or disabilities if discussed and arranged with the studio prior to registration, and the camper must be accompanied by an aide if deemed necessary.
